LOCATION: London ==> Wales

ITINERARY:

JOURNAL ENTRY:
Went back on the Underground to go to the airport to pick up our rental car at Hertz. The renal agent dilly-dallied, saying our car wasn't ready even though we booked it back on 5/28. Asked if we wanted a mini-van. Said we would wait. [Phil: Didn't like the idea of driving a mini-van on the narrow roads.] Took them a full 10 minutes to say we got upgraded to a Mercedes Benz at the same cot. Good grief!!! They play games. [Phil: The total wait time was way longer than ten minutes!]

Then drove to Abergavenny, to a food festival that wasn't there. But we did find an ALDI store. So comforting to find something familiar in Wales.

Had a picnic with cheesy bread, ham and aged cheese. Then finished the drive to our next stat at the B&B in Criccieth, Wales.

It's a really sweet cottage that's separate from the main house. At first, we couldn't get into the main house, since someone locked the door. Panicked for a bit until the owner heard us and let us in.
